GAY MUSLIM IMPRISONED 3 YEARS FOR CROSS-DRESSING, GAY SEX

March 31, 2010 - Islam does not permit homosexuality and implements criminal penalties for gay acts.  In Dubai, a 22-year-old man, a student, was on Wednesday sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for indulging in prostitution and cross-dressing by the Court of First Instance. The Emirati student, known by a special nickname in his internet profiles, was arrested on July 20 last year.  He had earlier pleaded not guilty to prostitution, as well as to having consensual sex with another emirati male (referred to the Court of Juveniles) when the Presiding
Judge Fahmi Mounir confronted him with the charges. The Court ordered confiscation of the laptop he was using to spread indecent material.  The student was also accused of producing and spreading through 
internet materials objectionable to public decency. In the arraignment sheet of
the Public Prosecution, he was accused of posting on the internet pictures, some of which showed him dressing up as a woman with make-up and accessories and wearing women’s underwear and swim suits, and striking
