CALI MUSLIMS FORCE WOMAN TO REMOVE FACEBOOK COMMENTS

January 30, 2010 - It begins with tossing around words like "Islamophobia", progresses to pressure to remove "offensive" comments, and ends with the death of our freedom of speech and Western way of life.  A group of Antelope Valley religious and political leaders are asking for Lancaster City Councilwoman Sherry Marquez, to apologize for what she wrote on her Facebook page about Muslims.  "We need her apology to come from the heart, and that comes with education," said Kamal Al-Khatib of the American Islamic Institute of A.V.  While one group says that they'll continue to ask Marquez to apologize to the Antelope Valley's religious community, they have convinced the councilwoman to remove the statements from her Facebook page.  Cick below for story.

January 30, 2010 - In a distrubing but not unexpected confrontation between Islam and Western society, a Muslim chaplain confirmed Islamic teachings that gays should be put to death and indicating he followed "what Islam teaches" regardless of the U.S. position on non-discrimination.  One wonders....where is the ACLU???  Vanderbilt University is distancing itself from a Muslim chaplain after he told a gathering of students homosexuality is punishable by death under Islam.  "I don't have a choice as a Muslim to accept or reject teachings. I go with what Islam teaches," said Awadh A. Binhazim, who is listed on the Vanderbilt website as "Adjunct Professor of Islam at the Divinity School" and an adviser to the Muslim Student Association. His comments came earlier this week at a diversity event for students.  He was asked directly, "Under Islamic law is it punishable by death if you are a homosexual?"  Binhazim said, "Yes. IRAN KILLING CIVILIANS WHO PROTEST THE GOVERNMENT

January 30, 2010 - Iran's state media reports that a group of opposition activists are standing trial in Tehran on charges of rioting in connection with protests in late December.  The official IRNA news agency and state Press TV say there were 16 defendents in court for the trial's opening on Saturday.  At least eight people were killed and hundreds more were arrested during the December clashes between opposition activists and security forces. The violence was the worst since authorities launched a harsh crackdown immediately after Iran's disputed presidential election in June.  Since August, Iran's hardline government has tried more than 100 political activists. January 29, 2010 - After the U.S. military (with our allies) drove the Taliban out of Kabul, we endeavored to create a new Afghanistan based upon Constitutional law. Neither the Constitution of Iraq nor of Afghanistan is structured on the secular American model of the state subordinate to the will of the people. Iraq and Afghanistan are both Islamic states (specifically stated as such in their constitutions). The people of both beneficiary states are therefore in service to Islam (the state is Islam and Islam is the state); this is not any form of "democracy" that most Americans can countenance nor reasonably support.  Both Afghanistan and Iraq are Islamic states as codified in their new American-supported constitutions.  Sharia law is the law of Islam. YEMEN TO HOST 'TERRORIST REHAB' CAMP SIMILAR TO SAUDI CAMP

January 29, 2010 - Yemen and Washington are in talks to set up a rehabilitation centre in the Arab state for Guantanamo detainees. The move would help President Barack Obama achieve his elusive goal of closing the controversial US prison.  A source close to the Obama administration said the Yemenis had agreed in principle to the establishment of a Reintegration and Risk Reduction Initiative, which would be internationally funded and monitored.  Aimed at steering detainees back into society, it would be modeled on previous efforts in Northern Ireland, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.  Because, you know, that Saudi rehab camp with its meditation and paint therapy was soooo successful that only a few dozen or so former terrorists lied their way through it and then reverted to their evil terrorist ways.  Click below for story.

AFGHAN WOMEN AGAINST UN PEACE DEAL WITH TALIBAN

January 29, 2010 - Groups representing Afghan women warned the international community on Wednesday against pursuing a peace deal with the Taliban, fearing a return to the austere Islamist rule that saw women banned from education and work. Women from a UN agency, the Institute for Inclusive Security and other rights' groups told reporters in London that the progress made since 2001 should not be jeopardised by courting conservative elements.  Some 60 countries are to attend a conference on Afghanistan in London on Thursday which has been preceded by a groundswell of support for an eventual political settlement with the Taliban movement which ruled from Kabul from 1996 till U.S.-led forces toppled the hardline Islamists after the September 11, 2001 attacks.  Tell me again....why are we negotiating ANYTHING with an Islamic terrorist group that vows to destroy the West?  Click below for story.

5 EX-TALIBAN LEADERS REMOVED FROM TERROR WATCH LIST

January 29, 2010 - So how does a bloodthirsty Islamic jihadi who has planned and promoted the deaths of hundreds get his Allah-given right to travel without the hassle of pat-downs, extensive security checks, and oversight of his high-dollar wire transfers to terrorist nations?  He acts contrite, says he's sorry, and promises he's had a change of heart.  It's enough to get the UN to let him off a terror watch list, apparently.  Five former Taliban leaders have been removed from the list of terrorists subject to an asset freeze and travel ban by the United Nations Security Council, Afghanistan’s ambassador said. "It is a message for anyone in the Taliban that wants to join the peace process that the Afghan government and the international community are serious about their readiness to take some steps," Ambassador Zahir Tanin said Tuesday. Tanin asked the Security Council on Jan. 6 to begin a review of the list of sanctioned Taliban leaders to create an atmosphere of trust for any who decide to abandon the insurgency.  An "atmosphere of trust"?  Because, you know, those radical Islamic terrorists are all about the trust.  Click below for story.

U.S. DELIBERATELY ALLOWS ENTRY TO SOME ON TERROR WATCHLIST

January 29, 2010 - Michael Leiter, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, told the Senate Homeland Security Committee in a hearing last week that the United States sometimes chooses to allow people into the country who are on the federal government’s Terrorist Watchlist.  Sen. Susan Collins (R-Me.), the ranking minority member of the committee, said at the same Jan. 20 hearing that the government should suspend the U.S. visas of anyone whose name appears in its master database of all people with suspected connections to terrorism and then put the burden on them to prove "they do not intend to harm this nation or its citizens."  Leiter made the statement about the U.S. government sometimes choosing to allow people on the Terrorist Watchist to enter the country in response to questioning by Sen. Carl Levin (D.-Mich.), who wanted to know how many people on the list were allowed to enter the United States last year.  "We don't know exactly how many came into the country who were on the watch list?" asked Levin.  "No," said Leiter. "I will tell you that when people come to the country, if they are on the watch list, it is because we have generally made the choice that we want them here in the country for some reason or another."  Click below for story.

VIDEO GAMES BANNED UNDER ISLAMIC SHARIA LAW, BUT JIHAD OK

January 29, 2010 - Sharia law does not permit sex outside of marriage, speaking with members of the opposite sex, listening to music, and now, video games.  With no outlet to release, no wonder frustrated, hormone-driven young Muslim men are being lured to jihadi training camps.  Somalia's Islamist insurgents on Thursday banned video games, one of the last forms of entertainment left for local youth, arguing they were destroying the country's social fabric.  The Hezb al-Islam group, currently engaged in a deadly insurgency against the internationally-backed federal government, made the announcement in a statement circulated in the areas it controls.  "Starting two days after this statement's date of issue, all video game playing centres in the areas under Hezb al-Islam control should be closed and playing video games will be prohibited," it said.  "Video games are designed in such a way that they destroy our social traditions and for that reason, anybody found ignoring this order will be punished and equipment will be confiscated," it said.  Click below for story.

MORE THAN 300 CONVICTED TERRORISTS JAILED ON U.S. SOIL

January 29, 2010 - On January 26, 2010 Department of Justice posted a Fact Sheet, stating that today, there are more than 300 international or domestic terrorists incarcerated in U.S. federal prison facilities. In 2009, there were more defendants charged with terrorism violations in federal court than in any year since 9/11.  Many convicted terrorists have already been released from prison and may be living next door to you. To make matters worse, while in prison, they recruit masses of new jihadists. According to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, 36 Americans who have traveled to terror training camps in Yemen under false pretense of studying Arabic, converted to Islam in prison. JORDAN REDUCES KILLER'S SENTENCE B/C IT WAS 'HONOR' KILLING

January 29, 2010 - A Jordanian court sentenced a 19-year-old man to 10 years in jail for stabbing his sister to death in order to "cleanse the family honour," a judicial official said on Friday.  The defendant turned himself in to police after killing his 22-year-old sister last year for many unexplained absences from home, said the official who requested anonymity.  "The court sentenced the defendant to 15 years in prison for premeditated murder, but reduced the sentence to 10 years after the family dropped any legal claims" against him, the source said.  "The defendant killed his sister with knife stabs on April 5, 2009 to cleanse the family honour, because of her many absences from home," the official said. "He then turned himself over to the police."  Murder is punishable by death in Jordan but in so-called "honour" cases a court sometimes commutes or reduces sentences, particularly if the victim's family urges leniency.  Between 15 and 20 women are murdered in honour killings each year in Jordan despite government efforts to fight such crimes.  Click below for story

January 26, 2010 - A Hamas television program for children once again is promoting martyrdom as a positive goal for Palestinian Authority children in Gaza. The latest episode of "Tomorrow's Pioneers," broadcast last week on January 22 on Al Aqsa (Hamas) TV, features a young host asking a 10-year-old girl whether she was afraid of dying last year during the fighting between IDF soldiers and Hamas terrorists. "How was it for you during the war? Were you afraid that you would....leave this world?" the young host asks. "No, I wasn't afraid," the little girl answers proudly. "I wished for Shahada (martyrdom) – Shahada for Allah." "How wonderful. Even this little girl --- how old are you?" "Ten." The child host praises her caller, pointing out to the children viewing the program, "She is not more than ten years old, and wants to die as a Shahida (martyr) for Allah. IRAQI DEMOCRACY THREATENED BY INCREASING CAR BOMBINGS

January 26, 2010 - On the same day that the U.S. announced Chemical Ali, Saddam Hussein's top bioscientist responsible for killing 5,000 of his own countrymen with chemical weapons, had been sentenced to death (again) and hanged, 3 powerful car bombs shook Baghdad, targeting hotels frequented by Westerners and businessmen. The death toll from the blasts currently stands at 36 dead and over 70 wounded and is expected to rise, according to Iraqi police. The coordinated attacks began with an explosion at the compound which houses both the Ishtar Sheraton and the Palestine hotels at around 3:40 on Monday, Baghdad time.  This was swiftly followed by explosions at the Babylon and al Hamra hotels. The Babylon is a popular haunt for Iraqi businessmen while the al Hamra has been home to many Western journalists since the Iraq invasion in 2003.  The increasing level of devastation and sophisticated coordination indicate Sunni insurgents, bent on implementing sharia law, are escalating efforts to destroy Iraq's fragile democracy.  Click below for story.

CHRISTIAN CONVERTS HUNTED IN EGYPT BY RADICAL ISLAM

January 26, 2010 - Egyptian Maher El-Gowhary and his 15 year old daughter Dina never pray twice at the same church, never stay longer than a month in any one apartment.  They are constantly under threat, always on the run because they converted to Christianity in a largely Muslim country.  They tell their story out of fear and desperation.  Born Muslims they chose to convert to the Christian Church after both claim they had religious visions.  Now Maher says "Muslims try to kill us, and will kill us if they find us."  Several religious fatwas have been issued for "spilling his blood" after Maher asked an Egyptian Court to legally recognize his conversion, so he can one day be buried as a Christian and so his daughter won't be forced into a marriage by her Muslim mother.  The court ruled a legal conversion to Christianity would threaten public order.  His lawyer told us it's a dangerous double standard because in Egypt a Christian can convert to the Muslim faith in a week, but a Muslim cannot convert to the Christian faith.  Ten percent of Egypt is Christian, largely the Coptic Christians who increasingly say they face daunting discrimination and even death.  Click below for story.

January 23, 2010 - The women, who may have a "non Arab" appearance and be travelling on Western passports, have been prepared for their missions by the Yemeni group responsible for the operation to blow up an airliner over the United States on Christmas Day.  Details of the bombers emerged just hours after British spy chiefs raised the UK threat state to "severe" amid fears that al-Qaeda was planning a wave of attacks against western targets. Terror experts within the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre, a unit of MI5, now believe that an attack against the UK is "highly likely". US law enforcement agents have been told to be on the lookout for female suicide bombers who may attempt to enter the country. At least two are believed to be connected to al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula which dispatched underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who tried unsuccessfully to bring down a transatlantic airliner over Detroit. Richard Clarke, a former chief White House counter terrorism adviser, said: "They have trained women. There are others who are still out there who have been trained and who are clean skins – that means people who we do not have a record of, people who may not look like al-Qaeda terrorists, who may not be Arabs, and may not be men." Security sources said that it was "inevitable" that al-Qaeda would eventually turn to using women with a western appearance to carry out suicide attacks. January 23, 2010 - Under Islamic sharia law, sex outside of marriage is illegal, and no distinction is made between consensual sex and rape.  A young Bangladesh girl was promised in marriage to a local village man.  Prior to the wedding she was raped by another young man.  When the rape resulted in a pregnancy, the girl's husband divorced her, she was forced to have an abortion, and she was punished for the "illegal sex" by being whipped 101 times to the point of blacking out.  Also, her family was punished for the shame of the incident by being assessed a hefty fine and threatened with isolation from the village if the fine was not paid.  And what about the man who attacked this woman, raped her and destroyed her life?  He walks free with no punishment.  Click below for story.

MUSLIM STRANGLES WIFE WITH HER HIJAB FOR BEING WESTERNIZED

January 22, 2010 - Mother of five Marzieh Rahimi, who was said to be trying to escape a violent arranged marriage, was killed in front of her baby and toddler.  Soltan Ahmad Azizi, 45, has pleaded not guilty to her murder at their Hampton Park home in November 2007.  The Supreme Court heard yesterday that Ms Rahimi, 33, had told social workers her husband had branded her a slave with no rights.  Prosecutor Peter Rose, SC, told the jury Ms Rahimi had complained her husband punched her and said her only purpose was to have babies and raise children.  Mr Azizi told police he didn't plan to kill Ms Rahimi. He said he punched her, then "choked her with her veil"; he then rang 000, telling the operator, "I killed my wife...come see. You come. January 22, 2010 - A Tennessee man accused in a fatal attack at a military recruiting center in Arkansas in June wants to plead guilty and claims to have ties to al Qaeda in Yemen in a letter he wrote to the judge presiding over his case.  In the handwritten letter dated January 12, Abdul Hakim Muhammad (who was born Carlos Bledsoe before he converted to Islam) said he did not want a trial and insisted the shooting was "justified" under jihad.  "This was a jihadi attack on infidel forces that didn't go as plan," he wrote. "Flat out truth."  Muhammad killed Pvt. William Long, 23, and wounded Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula, 18. January 20, 2010 - In the Art of War, Sun Tzu commands that to defeat your enemy, you must know your enemy.  Yet, it is impossible for the U.S. to know it's enemy when it is not even willing to acknowledge the enemy is in the room.  Take for instance the U.S. military's just-released report into the Fort Hood shootings, which spends 86 pages detailing mistakes by Army officers but not once mentions Major Nidal Hasan by name, his Muslim faith, his lecturing fellow doctors on the need for violent jihad, his convicted view of the U.S. presence in the Middle East, his shouting of "Allahu Akbar" as he opened fire, or his dress in traditional Islamic attire the day of the murder rampage.  How such key details could be omitted by the military, which is ordinarily exhaustive in its efforts to profile and understand its enemy, is nothing short of political correctness gone mad.  Click below for story.

GEERT WILDERS ON TRIAL FOR OFFENDING ISLAMISTS

January 20, 2010 - In another blow to the principle of freedom of speech, Dutch filmmaker Geert Wilders is on trial on charges of offending Islamists, both in his speeches about the need to stem the tide of Islamization in Europe and in his film "Fitna", which superimposes images of terrorist acts over words from the Koran.  Prosecutors originally declined to pursue charges against the well-known Wilders, claiming that while his words were inciteful and perhaps hateful, they fell within the bounds of free speech.  Apparently, the courts overruled this and insisted he be tried.  If found guilty, Wilders will face fines and up to 2 years in prison.  For the sake of free speech everywhere, let us hope he is found not guilty.  Click below for story.

IRANIAN PROTESTOR SENTENCED TO 8 YRS FOR SPEAKING OUT

January 20, 2010 - In the U.S., it is hard to fathom living under conditions that prohibit and punish freedom of speech.  Yet, this oppression is something Muslims face daily in Islamic countries, such as Iran.  Iran sentenced student leader Majid Tavakoli, who spoke out against the ayatollah regime in a speech last month, to eight years imprisonment.  The main charge brought against the student, which landed him six years in prison, was insulting President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, by calling him a "fascist".  Tavakoli was also charged with insulting supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who he called a "dictator", and operating against the government. The court also banned Tavakoli from political activity for a period of five years, and barred him from leaving the country for five years.  Click below for story.

January 20, 2010 - In a bit of bright news, 17-year-old Rifqa Bary, who has been held for months in virtual solitary confinement in a juvie detention facility in Ohio,is victorious.  Seeking to be free of her Muslim parents from whom she feared retribution for her conversion to Christianity, the courts determined that she will be allowed to remain in juvie until she turns 18 in August 2010, at which time she will be free to determine where she wants to live.  Click below for story.
