December 28, 2009 - Killing in the name of honour still remains an effective tool to get rid of girls who dare to marry without the consent of their families. At least one incident of honour killing is reported in the city every week, which is a cause for alarm. Most recently on December 24 in Pakistan, a man killed his 25-year-old sister for eloping with and marrying a man of her choice. Click below for story.
