December 26, 2009 - In a glimmer of hope that the Western spirit of independence is being awakened from complaceny, a Dutch passenger aboard the Northwest flight landing in Detroit stopped the Islamic terrorist from making a 2nd attempt to detonate explosives. Jasper Schuringa, a Dutch filmmaker, leaped across rows after hearing a sound like a firecracker, tackling Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, 23, who had a small bottle of explosive substance taped to his leg near his groin. In trying to set off the bomb, Mutallab only succeeded in setting himself on fire. Thanks to hero Schuringa, Mutallab did not get a second chance to try to detonate the bomb. Click below for story.
